Ed Macy - Apache
An immersive and hard-hitting microsite for author Ed Macy and his first book, Apache. Both Ed and HarperCollins Publishers knew Apache would be a chart topper. We had to deliver.
The Brief
We were asked by Ed to make a website dedicated to his first book, and to function as an introduction to him following his career change. The brief was a simple one, 'appearance is everything'. This website was designed to sell.
The Solution
We spent hours re-touching full resolution pictures which Ed had collected first-hand from all corners of the world where his deep and dangerous career as an attack helicopter pilot took him. Coupled with emotive music, eye-catching colours, and sleek animation these images formed the basis for the ever-developing edmacy.com. The website was launched at the same time the book was released, and within the first week had already been seen by thousands.
True Success
Apache has been a huge success, topping Amazon.co.uk charts in multiple categories. We are grateful of the chance to work with someone as inspiring as Ed, and are overwhelmed with positive comments regarding the website.
